Before installation and use, review the Frigidaire Refrigerator Use and Care Guide. To install the new filter, first push the release button to remove the current filter and discard it. Slide the new filter in until it clicks into place. Run water through the dispenser for approximately 3 minutes, or 1.5 gallons, to prime the filter before use. Discard the water. Replace the filter every 6 months or 200 gallons (757 liters), whichever comes first.

Your refrigerator's reminder light does not turn off automatically. Most reminder lights are reset by pressing and holding the water filter button on the dispenser control for 3 seconds. When the display changes from red to green, the status has been reset.
